Women, the ‘other’ half of agriculture

Women have always worked in the fields. Today women represent 43% of the agricultural work power in developing countries, with percentages that reach about 20% in Latin America and 50% in the Asiatic southeast and Sub-Saharan Africa. In some countries the percentage is higher and sometimes it varies within the same country.
They are the women who cultivate and produce the biggest part of the world food and who could do more if they had access to the necessary resources.
